Cochin Carnival

Every year, in the last week of December, a colored Carnival held in Cochin (Fort Cochin), wonderful city of Kerala.

The inception of the Kochi carnival can be traced back to the Portuguese New Year celebrations, held here during the colonial days.

The top of the carnival is the procession on the New Year's Day, with masks and allegoric chariots concerning Indian mythology and epic.
